Overview

MyHotSpots ("the App") is developed and maintained by Mahesh Manni. This privacy policy explains what information the App accesses, how it is used, and your rights as a user.

Information We Collect

The App may access the following on your device solely to provide its core functionality:

• Location data – used to detect nearby Wi-Fi networks and show hotspots relevant to your current position. Location data is processed on-device and is never transmitted to any server or third party.
• Wi-Fi / Network state – used to scan for and display available hotspot networks around you.

We do not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or precise GPS coordinates to any external server.

How We Use the Information

• To display nearby Wi-Fi hotspots on your device.
• To provide the core features of the App.

All processing happens locally on your device. No data leaves your device.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or share any user data with third parties. The App does not include any advertising SDKs or third-party analytics libraries.

Data Retention

Since no data is collected or transmitted, there is nothing retained on any server. Any preferences or settings saved by the App are stored locally on your device only and can be cleared by uninstalling the App.

Permissions

The App may request the following Android permissions:

• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION – required by Android to scan for nearby Wi-Fi networks.
• ACCESS_WIFI_STATE / CHANGE_WIFI_STATE – to read and interact with Wi-Fi network information.
• ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – to check current network connectivity.

These permissions are used solely for the App's core functionality and not for tracking or profiling purposes.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Security

Since no personal data is collected or transmitted, there is no risk of data breach from our side. All data remains on your device under Android's standard security model.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted at this URL with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
